1. INTRODUCTION

Text Editor (”the App”, “we”, “our”) is a local code and text editor for iOS and iPadOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is stored, and what is never collected or shared.

By using the App you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

The App does NOT collect, transmit, or share any of the following:

  1. Personal identification information (name, email, address, phone number)
    1. Location data (GPS, IP-based, or any other form)
    1. Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, serial number, or similar)
    1. Usage analytics or behavioral data
    1. Crash reports sent to our servers
    1. The content of any files you create or edit
    1. Contacts, calendar, camera, microphone, or health data
    1. Any data through third-party analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Crashlytics, or equivalent services are integrated)

3. INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE

All data generated by the App stays exclusively on your device:

  1. Text Files — Files you create or open are stored either in the App’s sandboxed Documents directory (for files you create inside the App) or remain at their original location on your device (for files you open via the system file picker). We never read, copy, or transmit these files.
  2. b) App Settings — Preferences such as font family, font size, color theme, indentation style, encoding defaults, and display options are saved to the standard iOS UserDefaults store on your device. They are not synced to any cloud service or shared with us.
  3. c) App Review State — A small record of whether you have been shown an App Store review prompt is stored in UserDefaults. This contains no personal information and never leaves your device.
